A website is infrastructure. It has to load quickly on a mid-range phone on a patchy connection, stay up when a campaign lands, be editable by a marketer without a developer on standby, and be readable by search engines and AI assistants alike.
What we build
Business and marketing sites
Sites whose job is to explain what you do and turn visitors into enquiries — fast, easy for your team to edit, and structured for search from the first page.
Online stores
Catalogue, checkout, payments, shipping rules and customer accounts, connected to the stock, CRM or fulfilment systems you already use.
Web applications
Tools and portals with logged-in users. Scoped tightly, shipped in stages, and kept small enough to maintain.
Choosing a platform
The right platform depends on who edits the site, what it connects to, and what it has to do in three years. We recommend one and explain why — including when the answer is to keep what you have.
| Platform | Suits | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Custom build with a headless CMS | Sites where speed, design control and search performance matter most | Higher build cost; structural changes need a developer |
| Shopify | Online stores that need reliable checkout, payments and apps without custom engineering | Monthly platform fees; limits on design and checkout flexibility |
| WordPress | Content-heavy sites, or businesses already running on it | Needs disciplined plugin and security maintenance to stay fast and safe |
What moves the cost
Two quotes for the same brief can differ several times over. These are usually the reasons — covered in more detail in our piece on comparing website quotes.
- The number of distinct page templates, not the number of pages.
- Whether copy and images are ready, or still need to be written and shot.
- Integrations with payment, stock, booking or CRM systems.
- Languages — and whether any of them read right to left.
- Hosting, maintenance and support after launch.
Speed and search are part of the build
Performance budgets are set at the start and held through the build: responsive images in modern formats, deferred third-party scripts, minimal JavaScript, and caching that holds up when a campaign sends a spike of traffic.
Semantic markup, structured data, sitemaps and canonical tags go in during the build. Adding them afterwards costs more and is usually done less thoroughly.
How a build runs
Scope
Requirements, integrations and edge cases mapped before development starts.
Architect
Data model, components, URL structure and performance budgets agreed.
Build
Delivered in two-week stages, on a staging site you can review at any point.
Launch
Accessibility, performance, security and content checks, then a rehearsed go-live.
If you already have a site
A rebuild is not always the answer. We take on existing sites for performance work, new features or a staged migration, and will say so when fixing what you have is the better use of budget.
After launch, support, security updates and further development are available on an agreed basis.
Questions about a new website
It depends mostly on the number of templates, the integrations and how ready the content is. A timeline comes with the quote, once scope is agreed in writing.
Yes. Sites are built so your staff can change text, images and pages themselves, and editor training is part of the handover.
Yes. Arabic needs right-to-left layout and its own fonts, which is far cheaper to plan at the start than to retrofit. Our article on one website in three languages explains what is involved.

Planning a new site or a rebuild?
Tell us what the site has to do, what it connects to, and whether the content is ready. That is enough for a first answer on platform, scope and timeline.
